What are the best Flash video frame dimensions?

Video codecs perform best when the frame width and height use multiples of 16. While you can use any width and height in your encoding settings, non-optimal dimensions can result in poor image quality and reduced frame rate. For the best image quality and playback, you should always use width and height dimensions that use a multiple of 16 (best), 8 (better), or 4 (good). We would recommend that you refrain from using 4 or 8 multiples unless it is absolutely necessary.

Note: Both the native encoding dimensions and the playback dimensions should be a multiple of 16. For example, if you encode your FLV file to use a frame dimension of 320 x 240, you should scale to a size such as 512 x 384.

  1. Define the meaning of CMYK and RGB

 

CMYK is a scheme for combining primary pigments. The C stands for cyan, M stands for magenta, Y for yellow, and K for Black. CMYK is a color model in which all colors are described as a mixture of these fourprocess color. CMYK is the standard color model used in offset printingfor full-color documents. Because such printing uses inks of these four basic colors, it is often called four-color printing.

In contrast, display devices like pc or laptop generally use a different color model called RGB, which stands for Red-Green-Blue. One of the most difficult aspects of dekstop publishing in color is color matching, properly converting the RGB colors into CMYK colors so that what gets printed looks the same as what appears on the monitor.

Channels are grayscale images that store different types of information. Color information channels are created automatically when you open a new image. The image’s color mode determines the number of color channels created. For example, an RGB image has a channel for each color (red, green, and blue) plus a composite channel used for editing the image.

 

Saturation is the simplest tool you can find, and works similarly to brightness. It is a linear slider that moves from 0 (black) to 255 (8 bit fully saturated image). Because we have defined our image as an 8-bit image, with a fixed color space, it is impossible to go beyond 255. We call this value ‘full saturation‘

In this 20th century, the technology has become more sophisticated. So everyone use technology in their daily life. Point-of-sale kiosk is also one of the technology.  Such an example of Point-sale-of kiosk is ATM machine. Yes, I’m almost using that ATM machine every week in the campus and also at petrol station at Fasa 2, Puncak Alam. Yes, the ATM machine has the multimedia which is we can see the notice at screen, we can hear the sound of money get out and the button also has the sound. Compare to the traditional way, it will waste our time because we need to take turn in long line. Beside that it also will drag time.

Yes, almost every week I’m using the ATM machine. I’m done doing the quick observation toward customer who use that ATM machine. So here I want to share that there are the advantages and also limitations of that ATM machine.

Advantages:

1. Save time

2. The process is faster

3. Available for 24 hour

 

 Limitations:

1. It will have the problem when that ATM machine is out of service

2. Sometimes that ATM machine can’t read our bank card.
